Context of and specific resources for assessment

Assessment must ensure:

application of the basic rules and regulations of tennis.

Assessment must also ensure access to:

information sources in order to collect sufficient information

a copy of the ITF rules, NSO specific rules, regulations and code of behaviour.

Method of assessment

A range of assessment methods should be used to assess practical skills and knowledge. The following examples are appropriate for this unit:

oral or written questioning to assess knowledge of basic tennis rules

case studies and problem-solving exercises to assess ability to interpret and apply basic tennis rules and regulations

oral or written questioning or interview to test knowledge of sport-specific code of behaviour, tournament and competition pathways and basic regulations.
